FOR IN VITRO DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY.
RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE: Working Solution: Mix just prior to use, 50 ml of Sol. I with 50 ml of Sol. II. Run control slide. Deparaffinize and hydrate to distilled or deionized water. Cover with working solution for 20 - 30 minutes. Rinse in distilled or deionized water, counterstain with Sol. III or IIIB for 3 - 5 minutes, and rinse again. Dehydrate in 95% ethanol, absolute ethanol - 2 changes, clear in xylene - 2 changes, and mount.
NOTE: Chemically clean glassware and plastic-tipped or paraffin-coated forceps are suggested.
RESULTS: Iron pigments - bright blue; nuclei - red; cytoplasm - light pink.
