FOR IN VITRO DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY.
RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE: Working Solution I: Mix equal parts of Sol. A with Sol. B. Working Solution II: Dilute 1 part Sol. II with 4 parts tap water or less for greater intensity in staining. Deparaffinize and hydrate to distilled water. Apply Working Sol. I - 1-7 minutes. Wash in running water - 10 minutes. Stain in Working Sol. II - 1 hour. Rinse quickly in distilled water. Stain in Sol. III - 1 minute and rinse again. Dehydrate and clear in xylene, 2 changes each. NOTE: Carminophilic properties will be obscured if overstained with Working Sol. I.
RESULTS: Capsule of Cryptococcus and mucin stain deep rose to red; nuclei stain black.
